as promised in my last post here's an updated version of serviceXP (0.94) which is a webcamXP-like application running as service.
new features :
- 10 simultaneous sources compatible
- password protected administration page
- all settings are saved
- generate code for your site
- ftp upload with fixed interval
installation notes still provided into the readme.rtf file.

hya wanting to betatest something special today ?
here's an application working like webcamXP (yes again hehe) however this time it isn't a standard application but a NT service.
many customers asked me and still do ask me if it's possible to run webcamXP as service and no it isn't without rewritting something totally new... and here it is it's still very basic and has no other interface than a web based interface but at least it seems to work great.
the streaming engine is exactly the same than webcamXP and i've designed it to support up to 10 sources / computer but currently only 1 source is working.
the internal server is on port 4080 so it doesn't conflict with webcamXP or your router.
you'll find instructions on how to install / run / uninstall into the readme file...

general / off-topic
due to the few downtimes we're experimenting those weeks i've created a service on the server that checks each 3 minutes that IIS is still running otherwise reboots the server...
this should really limit those downtimes at least i hope btw if somebody needs this service for its own server let me know it should work on any 2000 / XP / 2003 computer with IIS...

here's an all new beta version finally having GSM sound support... i hope it'll give better results over internet and smaller delays...
please note that if you had to enable the port 8080 on your router / firewall you'll have to do the same again for port 8090 for the audio to work properly... both are using TCP connections and must be enabled in both directions...
