after 6 weeks of inactivity (including 5 weeks in australia ^^), here's finally a new webcamXP release...
it includes several fixes (mostly done by gersen while i was away that only a few members where able to test) and a few new things like the floating preview windows (just drag the small previews outside the interface)...
also and finally the ftp part and http post part seems to work much better now and the objects are recreated in case they timeout.
btw and as usual the best is that you test and that you let me know about the results ^^

hiiiiiiii darkies !
i'm finally back and alive from my kangaroo trip... i really had some good time there even if i'm still extremely tired ^^
in case you mind you can take a look at my pictures here (over 1000 pics ^^) : australia gallery by wet
beside this, during this time and even if i was away gersen, the guy who replaced me for customer support (and also my coding guru lol) made many improvements to webcamXP and it just need a bit of lifting before i can release a new version but i was impressed and really loved the changes (even if they were requested by me lol).
also everything seems to have been running perfectly during this time on the server side and it's great to finally have it working that good.

for this new year here's the all first webcamXP version able to support up to 10 video sources per computer...
as the latest betas seems to run very good and as webcamXP isn't anymore the only software able to run multiple cams at time it was time for me to increase this because even if rare are people who are plugging more than 5 cams per computer now with the stream from network (or another webcamXP) features a few additional slots may be required ^^
due to the high number of new variables and settings required by doubling the sources number, unfortunately this time you cannot import the settings from older webcamXP versions...

btw even if this version supports 10 sources in case you only use 1 it'll need less resources... for the old webcamXP versions i've always created all the required objects in memory for 5 sources even if only one was used, in this version it creates them only for sources being in use...
btw the latest build is finally able to survive to usb bandwidth problems which always caused all previous versions to crash nearly each time when it wasn't possible to connect a video source due to usb problems... with this the safe mode shouldn't be required anymore however it's still inside...
this version is the last version you'll have for at least 1 month as i'm leaving very far monday... btw somebody will do the tech support while i'm away.... the latest .356 build is already 90% ready to be compiled under delphi 2005, the only libraries that aren't ready are the sound broadcasting libraries but i've already been able to play with a soundless version compiled under it and it'll be one of the first thing i'll do once i come back...
also not that a huge bug regarding movies recording in all versions supporting 10 sources has been fixed... btw the software was never stopping recording and caused huge files on hdd :s
