downtime might occur...
as the server hasn't been rebooted for over 3 months i will install all the required updates today and i'll probably have to reboot it several times, of course all the sites including mvc / coverxp.com and webcamxp.com will be affected.

here is another webcamXP version, i'm not sure yet however this might be THE update which solves the remaining access violation problem encountered by some users in the last betas.
as there was still no update of the libraries which i suppose to be the cause of this problem i've decided to use some new beta libs that already fix several points in what i've seen about them and i rewrote some parts of the http server and the stream from network client.
i'm working on and testing this for a few days already and it seems to me to be much better especially around the network sources.
beside this i've also modified the new hard authentication feature to be even harder as it seems that there was still a way to get over it (case that i wasn't able to reproduce but i've done this differently now).
also fixed the file sharing feature that wasn't working anymore for a loooooong time..
this new version seems to increase a lot the refreshing speed of ip sources as all priorities have been setted on tasks doing this in this build so in case you use mostly ip sources you might want to give it a try ^_^'.

updated to 2.16.502x on 2005.06.23 that includes the following changes :
- several fixes in the new way to handle ip sources
- stream from file : button to remove 1 file at time
- stream from ip : can be edited once connected
- stream from ip : much faaaaaaaaster
- should fix error messages on exiting

here is a very little update of webcamXP. the only main change is the hard authentication option which force the software to request the username / password each time in case authentication is enabled.
so far once somebody was logged it was storing the ip for 2 minutes and not requesting password anymore however in some case like somebody being behind a router which logs on, everybody behind the router was able to access the stream as well. now by activating this option you can avoid such things.

the other change is that the product is on the way to be certified for the regnow network (the payment system i'm using to sell licenses) but this shouldn't change anything for the end-user.
nothing else really changed as the latest versions .475 / .478 seem to work pretty well for most users...
