after working on webcamXP 2 final for weeks with gersen here is finally again a "releasable" version (however it's still not the final and still doesn't have the updated documentation but maybe the next one will have it :) ).
the changes are :
- galleries are totally dynamic now and you can browse them source by source
- galleries can be edited, external pictures can be added to it and it's possible to load / save them
- new overlay feature : shapes
- new overlay feature : web based auto-refreshed images
- new overlay feature : add other sources as images (PIP)
- fixed stay connected mode in FTP
- fixed access violation on HTTP POST timeout
beside this the standard http broadcasting that is the mode most users are using didn't change since 2.16.575 which seems to do it perfectly. i had it broadcasting for nearly 2 weeks without any problem with usb and ip cams together.
give it a try here : webcamXP 2.17.212 and let me know if anything seems wrong.

as the latest build of webcamXP seems to work extremely good i plan to release a "final" version within the next few weeks.
it doesn't mean there won't be any update as i still have things to continue like synchronizing the audio however after more than 1 year webcamXP 2 will be able to leave the "beta" status and have an accurate documentation.
in case there's still something i haven't seen that doesn't work like it should please let me know so i can finalize it before the final version.

as i've been able to cancel my army for this summer it allowed me to continue working on the newest webcamXP with mjpeg streaming. the major changes are :

- internal server page shows 1 source at time in mjpeg mode (like javascript)
- new overlay variables $(memory) $(speed)
- optimized for better results on slower computers
- changed http activity to file logging
- many options added to remote admin (ftp,http post, etc...)

- raised ftp retries from 25 to 9999
- fixed only hard authentication mode was used when auth enabled (which also fixes unable to password prot mjpeg)
- modified a bit the user interface
- don't show cam preview / cam switch links if only 1 cam
- few fixes

- captured / recorded files now in the internal explorer folder
- french language up-to-date

- fixes "might freeze on banned ip connection"
- fixes "phantom threads might remain after mjpeg session"
