If I choose directshow filters instead of directdraw to render the subtitles they just don't appear anymore on the frame, but on the bottom, out of the screen. You know, directshow is by far better than directdraw to view dvd. My system has a 800mhz Athlon processor, 256K ram and windows XP. I have to say that since I've updated my system to xp dvdsubber seems to suffer a lot, so please Gersen, do something about it ^_- Guido |

The directshow filter subtitle render method is "unstable" with some DVD filter. Did you use the exact same the the one you used before ?
Did you have Directx9 installed ? In the latest betatester version there is an option to use the new Dx9 feature that work like the directshow filter but with better compability and better performance. If you want to try it.

About the directshow filters problem or did you have other issues with DVDSubber under XP ?

After XP upgrading now I have installed Powerdvd 4.0 and its filter. Before I had Powerdvd 3.0 with Windows ME and I had no problems with directshow. I'll try to install Directx9, but how can I get dvdsubber betatester version? Concerning XP, I told you once I had problems with a Microsoft service pack fixing some XP dvd playback bugs. With that SP installed dvdsubber didn't run properly (the video stopped, while the audio went on) so I've just removed it, but without that SP I always have to restart Powerdvd or Dvdsubber if I want to see the colors.
